India and China have decided to advance discussions on "an early and substantial harvest" of boundary delimitation and border management, and agreed on two new border military hotlines in the eastern and middle sectors, two new meeting points for military commander-level meetings, and on holding the trans-border river meeting next month.

How AI can help target protein that contributes to pancreatic cancer

Renowned US-based medical centre Mayo Clinic recently announced that it has co-developed a cancer treatment with Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup Sravathi AI Technology, under an intellectual property sharing arrangement. This treatment targets a specific protein called GIPC1 that, in certain circumstances, can contribute to the growth of many different types of cancer, including pancreatic cancer - one of the deadliest forms of cancer. The findings were published in the scientific journal Cell Reports.

OBC creamy layer: Why govt wants clarity from top court on 'rules of the game'

The Supreme Court Tuesday agreed to constitute a Special Bench to hear the Centre's plea seeking clarification on whether its March 2026 verdict on OBC creamy layer criteria applies to the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, whose results were announced five days before the judgment. The dispute focuses on what happens when a court changes the legal position after an examination process has largely concluded.

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said that Japanese textile companies, including one of the largest in the world, Uniqlo, would stepup sourcing input material from India and would also increase investment in India to export textile goods across the globe from India.

PSU banks more efficient than private peers: EAC-PM 

In a surprising find, an analysis by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) has found that government-run banks are more efficient than private banks, with the last three years in particular seeing public sector lenders improving their position.
